Medical Exercise Specialists (MES) are extensively trained in the condition-based anatomy and pathology of over 50 common medical conditions. Medical exercise specialists are also trained in protocol-based approaches on the progressive management of these conditions. These protocols have been designed by medical professionals. Because of this, the MES can accurately understand how to create safe and effective exercise programming that will produce results for the client

What do they do?

Medical Exercise Specialists are extensively trained in medical communication and terminology. Medical Exercise Specialists not only know the contraindicated movements and exercises associated with common pathologies, but also understand the underlying functional anatomy, kinesiology, physiology and biomechanics that informs the MES  why these movements and exercises are unsafe and allow the MES to design specialized fitness regimens that are unmatched in quality, safety and effectiveness.  Because of their specialized training, Medical Exercise Specialists can quickly identify red flags and warning signs during training sessions in order to avoid injury.  Medical Exercise specialists can also get results while preventing injury in apparently healthy populations by using proven safe and effective fitness programming.
