SolFit Specialty Fitness Service: Assessments
Digital and manual assessments can provide fitness professionals with a fairly accurate measurement of overall fitness level and wellness. Results can be used to assess progress as well as the effectiveness of a given fitness program.
We offer the following digital assessments to all of our clients: Digital Body Fat and Muscle Quality Testing, Digital Posture Assessment, Digital Vitals Including Blood Pressure and Heart Rate and Digital Workout Quality Assessment.
SolFit also uses Advanced Fitness Assessment and Functional Movement Analysis, Orthopedic Testing (For assessment & referral purposes only), Digital Balance and Proprioception Assessments to find your strengths and weaknesses. This allows us to create safe and effective exercise programming for a wide range of abilities and for those with medical conditions.
SolFit Exercise Modalities
SolFit employs various Exercise Modality Options Including: Body Weight Training, Functional Exercise, Sport Specific Training, Suspension Training, Yoga, Medical & Corrective Exercise, Balance and Proprioception Training, Band/Theraband Resistance Training and Cardiorespiratory Training. We use simple, effective and portable/easy-to -store high quality equipment that works.
We can usually provide equipment for training sessions, but some individuals may need to purchase equipment of their own depending on the individual's goals and needs.
Assisted Stretch, Flexibility Training and Additional Services
Passive Assisted Stretch, Manual Exercise & Table Exercise, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Active/Dynamic Flexibility Training, Yogic stretch and Self Myofascial release are just some of the advanced modalities used at SolFit to help clients improve function and range of motion. SolFit offers you more clinically researched and effective options than your average fitness professional. This gives us the edge when it comes to safe exercise, performance enhancement and injury prevention.
We are also trained in medical terminology and communication as well as interpretation of diagnosis, various test results and exercise recommendations and restrictions from your healthcare professional.

Yoga at SolFit
SOLFIT offers 1-on-1 and small group Yoga or ‘Yoga Fusion’ sessions focusing on Asana (poses), Pranayama (Breathing techniques), and Dhyana (Meditation techniques). Special emphasis is given to posture/alignment, coordination of breath and movement, balance, strength and flexibility. SOLFIT Yoga is Hatha-based with a specialization in ‘Flow’, 'Restorative' and ‘Yin’ styles. Additionally, clients have the option of seamlessly fusing traditional Yoga Asana practice with any of our other exercise modality such as suspension training or assisted stretching.
Medical Yoga is composed of Yoga asana, pranayama, and dhyana combined with the priciples of biomechanics, kinesiology and pathology to create holistic fitness programs. Medical Yoga often involves an initial consultation with assessment and works in tandem with participants healthcare provider to create programs that are both safe and effective. Medical Yoga emphasizes the importance of a home fitness practice and classes/sessions often feature a demo of some type of corrective exercise or Yoga pose that can be done anytime. The addition of corrective exercises and special modified poses can benefit a wide range of participants from the novice to the athlete.
Corrective & Medical Exercise
Corrective Exercise utilizes special assessment procedures in order to identify specific dysfunctions in the body and correct them through specific movements or exercises. Corrective exercise as a whole focuses on posture, movement patterns, joint position and alignment, flexibility, balance/proprioception, and functionality of exercise in order to create an exercise program that improves health and corrects muscle imbalances. Corrective exercise is a great choice for both people who are new to exercise and seasoned athletes wishing to improve performance or prevent injury.
Medical Exercise is a type of exercise programming designed with a client’s specific medical condition(s) in mind. Client-specific Medical Exercise programs are created by a specially trained professional in conjunction with a client's medical professional. Medical Exercise is not physical therapy. Physical therapy focuses on a specific condition or joint for medical treatment.
Medical Exercise provides clients with comprehensive and holistic exercise programs designed to enhance overall functional capacity, reach new health goals and increase quality of life. Medical exercise programming will provide you with the guidance, tools and education you need to maintain your fitness program now and in the future. In other words, Medical Exercise is the beginning of your safe and effective lifelong fitness journey.
SOLFIT Medical Exercise Training sessions are Individualized exercise programming specifically tailored to your needs, goals and medical history. Medical Exercise includes session documentation, regular communication with your healthcare provider, insurance claim prep, home exercise program design and monitoring. Typical Medical Exercise programs last for approximately 12-15 weeks or until the exercise program can be safely performed without assistance.
